Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Shampoo Review

I must admit I was a little sceptical at first with this shampoo. On the front the description is 'super rich shampoo' and on the back description it's noted that it's also a 'cleansing shampo' that gets rid of buildup. Suspcious...However, I gave it a go and was pleasantly surprised that it did exactly what it said it did on the bottle.

The product has a strong fresh melon/aloe vera hybrid smell which I think is gorgeous, the smell doesn't last on the hair for more than a few hours which for me is ideal as I prefer to spray hair mists into my hair to get it smelling lovely. The bottle is also a lovely addition to my shower, I love the minimalist look of it.

The product lathers easily and leaves the hair feeling squeeky clean, whilst moisturised. I found that I had to wash my day earlier than usual after using this but I'm not sure whether that's just because I had been touching my uber clean roots so much that they became greasy.

Buy here for £8.71.

Beauty Blender- Worth the hype?

I was very kindly sent a beauty blender* by the lovely people at Beauty Flash and was thrilled to finally get to put the infamous sponge to the test.

I started by soaking it in cold water then squeezing the excess out 3-5 times, once it was damp I first used it to apply my concealer, I usually find with sponges it leaves a textured look in your make-up but because you apply this with a wet sponge the problem is avoided all together. To set the concealer I then went in with a setting powder and decided to try this with a wet sponge also, which I was nervous about. I dipped it in the powder then applied it to my face and found it looked amazing and a lot less cakey than when applied with a dry sponge. It gave the effect of using a setting spray without actually using a setting spray.

On the beauty front I was really pleased but as with all sponges, I was worried about the hygiene. With most of my sponges I throw them away after a week of use, but with this sponge coming at £16 a pop, you can't really afford to do it with this product. So, after religiously washing it with the solid cleanser after every use I kept an eye out for any problem areas on my face for a month- and there were none!

This product leaves an airbrushed finished and is surprisingly hygienic. Buy for £16 here and the solid cleanser for £14 here.

(Also, how cute is the colour?)

Chloe Love Story Eau De Parfum Review

This is going to be one big rave review, pre-warning.

Chloe scents are some of the best on the market, but, for me, the selling point for perfumes are the packaging. Of course, the scent matters but unless it'll look a million dollars on my vanity I rarely purchase them.

When the Chloe Love Story* arrived my heart literally skipped a beat. Literally. The casing glistened in every light and the bottle was one of the most spectacular things I've ever laid my eyes on. I love little details so the tiny satin ribbon around the gold ring, which surrounds the circle lid, really adds to the product. The gold case matching the yellowy, gold, tones of the perfume also helps to pull the look together.

At first sniff, I wasn't in love with it. I found the scent far too mature for me, so just left it. About half an hour later I could smell something floral and slightly sweet, and I realised that the scent took a little bit to die down, about 5 minutes, before it's true scent was revealed. There's mostly floral undertones but a hint of sweet/fresh. The scent lasted for a few hours and I got compliments that whole day.

This would make for a perfect christmas present for your mum, sister, daughter, nan, pretty much anyone with a nose. Chloe Love Story Eau de Parfum is available at SMSeruya Buy 50ml for £43.56 here or 75ml for £52.47 here.

Original Pink Sleep In Rollers Set Review

The first thing I ever notice when I meet people is their hair, my hair is mighty unruly so I've always envied people with flawless hair. The look that really turns me into the green eyed monster is super sleek, voluminous, hair- and I think I may have just cracked the secret to achieving the look.

A few weeks back I got sent a set of Original Pink Sleep In Rollers* but wasn't quite sure how to use them. After a few (okay, maybe many...) youtube tutorials I finally plucked up the courage to give them a whirl and boy, was I pleased I did!

They are rather fiddly as you've got to section each piece of hair and find a place on your head for each one to sit, and once theres already a line of rollers getting the pins in becomes a little bit harder. Eventually, however, I grasped the technique.

I found them comfy to wear but not comfy enough to sleep in as I wriggle a lot so I found it moved and pulled at my hair, so I wore them for a few hours during the day. The pack comes with 20 rollers, and I have long thick hair and found that, I only needed 15 tops.

They don't add curls to your hair, but they add a bit of bounce. If your hairs long like mine the bottoms may be curled but the majority won't be.

I can't recommend these enough and for the bargain price of £17.95 I urge you all to buy them immediately.

Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders Mini Collection Review

Apologies for the late post, I've just had surgery and it's taking me longer to recover than expected. Anyway, to the beauty!

I've been really loving Ole Henriksen's Invigorating Night Creme recently (review here) and was thrilled when I was offered a few more goodies from the brand.

I was sent the Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders Mini Collection* which comes with three little skincare samples; Truth Serum Collagen Booster, Sheer Transformation and Invigorating night treatment.

One of the things I've loved most about using this set is that each product is designed to use at different times of the day, so it's such a treat to use.  For starters, you put the serum on when you wake up, then you can put the sheer transformation on immediately or later on, then when you go to bed you put the night treatment on.

The one I was looking forward to using most was the serum but as my skin is already quite bright  it didn't make much of a difference to it, but I found it did make me look more awake as it tightens your skin. The sheer transformation is such a lovely moisturiser- it has really velvety texture and leaves your skin looking plump and feeling refreshed. I really disliked the treatments scent, it was totally different to the creme version and, it carried a vinegar scent which was a little too strong for me. However, it resurfaced my skin and left it looking wonderful.

This set comes at the bargain price of £18 and I couldn't recommend it enough if you're new to skincare or would like to try out something new. Buy here for £18.

Gamulet Bracelet

I love jewellery. Adore it, in fact. I've had my heart set on getting a simple silver bracelet for a while but couldn't find somewhere with good quality products and a reasonable price, until I came across Gamulet*.

I opted for the classic silver clasped bracelet for £20.95. Every other bracelet I had seen, of the same kind, from other brands had been £50+ so to get something of the same quality for a fraction of the price was perfect.

I opted for two charms, I opted for two birthstone charms; the crystal pave charm for £19.95 and also the February pave charm for £14.95. I also had my eye on the march birthstone for £14.95 and the rose gold pave charm for £19.95.

Overall, I'm thrilled with my choices and will definitely be heading over to Gamulet anytime I need a fair priced, beautiful, charm.

Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Creme Review

The Ole Henriksen Invigorating night creme* is the product of dreams. I have a dry face and an oily forehead so, naturally, I was scared of the exfoliating properties in this but I was very pleasantly surprised by the results.

The product has a gel/creme hybrid feel that dries almost as soon as it's applied, when it's applied it feels like you've just gotten a facelift and everything feels rather tight- but not uncomfortable. I had a little breakout around my nose and the morning after I put this on they all disappeared. I was in genuine shock, I went from having a small colony of spots to none overnight- what kind of magic is this?!

After a bit of research I found that it contained all the 'wonder' products for your skin, the biggest being AHA. Whilst the AHA attack the spots and sebum, the shea butter leaves your face feeling as smooth as a babies bottom. It does come with a hefty price tag, but for the breathtaking results I cannot recommend this product enough buy it for £47 here.

My Little "Fashion" Box September 2015 Unboxing + Review

I am in love with My Little Box, you know this, I know this BUT this month... boy, I never knew I could feel like this!

The box is always packed with goodies but every item in this had me smiling from ear to ear. The theme of this months box is fashion.

The first product I reached for was the Kerastase "Laque Noire" extra strong hold hair spray. I have been a huge fan of kerastase for years so was overjoyed to find a product from them, that I haven't tried, in the box. The hairspray carries a normal hairspray scent and claims to hold your hair perfectly, even in the most humid of places.

I haven't tried the alfa.k griffe Paris nail decals, as I'm saving them for a special occasion but the colours and quirky designs are adorable.

Another item I was pleasantly surprised to see in the box was the La Roche Pose "Toleriane Ultra Fluide". The product is designed for even the most sensitive or allergic skins and is an intense soothing fluid for your face and your eyes. The packaging had me stumped for ages but I realised, after a long struggle, that you just have to twist the head for it to start pumping.

The next item I tried was the "Red Dingue creme de rouge" my little beauty lip cream, packaged in a gorgeous spotty tube was a magnificent matte red, I wasn't expecting it to dry to the finish it did and was left pleasantly surprised.
I love that they included a, stunning, scarf but what I love even more is the way they designed the packaging so it gave the illusion of the drawing wearing the scarf. Hurry up and order your box RIGHT NOW, this isn't one to miss. Seriously. My little box* never fail to impress. Sign up for £11 + P&P here.

My "Gypset" Little Box REVIEW- August 2015

Hello my lovies!

This month's box is packed with a bunch of goodies, my absolute favourite product in the box is the Korres body milk in Basil Lemon, I initially thought this was a shower milk but was pleasantly surprised when I found it was a lotion. The product sinks in really quickly and leaves your skin feeling as soft as a babies bottom.

A product that I found really interesting was the So Susie Colour Hybrid- this is a lip/cheek mousse and has a velvet texture. The colour is a vibrant red which settles to have a semi-matte finish. Another make-up item in this months box is My Little Box's very own bronzer, I don't use this for a contour I use this to add colour to my face.
I've been loving using the hairbands- they're super pretty and don't put too much pressure on my hair!

The last item I received was a gorgeous blue duffle bag, with geometric patterns all over it.
My Little Box* never fail to brighten up my day, Sign up for £11 + P&P here.

Ghost Girl- DARE TO BE YOU!

One of my first ever perfumes was a Ghost  perfume and I've been in love with the brand ever since. This month I was asked to feature their, fabulous, new launch- their new fragrance that dares you to be YOU!

The bottle is beautifully eye-catching with phrases such as "Love me" and "Adore me" scribbled all over the see through bottle in bright colours.

The fragrances top notes are pear, bergamot and raspberry with tuberose, almond blossom and orange blossom as base notes. I've never been particularly good at describing scents so I tend to describe them in emotions, the emotions I feel after smelling this are nostalgia and a "free" feeling- everything associated with my teen years. I'm turning 20 this october so this is definitely a fragrances I'm going to clinging onto *cue Taylor Swift 'Never Grow Up'*

The fragrance made me remember simpler times and to have a massive throwback I decided to visit my favourite place as a teen, London Bankside. Food, amazing art and memories made for the perfect mix and I couldn't resist taking a few photos.
As this perfume has become a permanent addition to my handbag I decided to do a little "what's in my bag" post for you.
1. MAC lipstick- Dark lipsticks make all of my outfits go from day-to-night.
2. Coconut Hand Cream- An absolute holy grail for dry hands.
3. Headphones- I detest small talk, headphones have never failed to save me from them, and so, I never leave home without them.
4. Mints- For when Channing Tatum happens to hop on your tube. A girl can dream.
5. Lip balm- Especially with winter coming, this is a must.
6. Seche Vite Nailpolish- Ladders in tights + hairy legs= the worst pairing. A little trick I learnt this year was that if you put clear nailpolish over a ladder it prevents it from ripping any further- ingenious, right?!
7. Ghost Girl Fragrance*- The star of the show. I rarely keep a perfume in my bag for more than a few days, purely because I have so many but I cannot let go of this. I'm in love, must be something in the air, har-har.
8. Hairbands- For when your hair is being unruly or you've eaten one too many donuts and fancy a spontaneous Blogilates session.
9. Armani Exchange Purse- Bacon butties don't buy themselves.
10. Keys.
11. Calvin Klein Glasses- I'm as blind as a bat but they're also extremely handy for concealing how tired my eyes look.
12. Umbrella- I live in england. That is all.

If you're interested in buying the new Ghost fragrance it's available in boots stores now.
Buy 30ml for £25
Buy 50ml for £34
Buy 100ml for £46
I've also noticed that you get a free heart coin purse with your purchase, so what are you waiting for? #DareToBeYou

GHOST fragrances have been on a bold journey of self-discovery and unveil their edgy side presenting a brand new feminist floral that is complimented by a brand new look and feel. The scent, like the campaign is bursting with attitude for the strong, daring and fun-loving girl of today.

Their most fearless fragrance to date, this intoxicating scent marks a change of direction for the brand adding a young, mischievous edge to the existing classical collection.
Ghost Girl. DARE TO BE YOU.

What's Up, Toots?

The sun brings out many things in me: sunburn, a lusting for watermelon and my addiction for online shopping.

My latest online shopping addiction is shoes, swooon, and having come across some beauties I thought it'd be cruel not to share them.

1) Doc Martens- AKA the love of my life that I will never be able to afford, but hey, a girl can dream. I love matte leather so the origianl 1460 Doc Martens would be my shoe of choice. Buy here for £111.
2) Office Parisian Lace Up Sandal- Suede is the love of my life when it comes to shoes, but red is a colour I normally steer clear of. That being said, the lace detail really drew me to the shoe and I think the colour completes the look. Buy for £75 here.
3) Office Cut-Out Boot- I tend to go for black heels during the winter and nudes during the summer, so this is a must have, the cut out detail is a lovely touch. Buy for £65 here.
4) Figtree Gladiator Sandal- After endless hours of reading The Blonde Salad, I have been converted and adore gladiator shoes. These tanned ones would look gorgeous paired with a white dress. Buy for £52 here.
5) Strappy Heel Sandals- These have a mid-heel making them stylish and suitable for everyday wear. The model wore it with jeans and white shirt and I currently have the whole outfit in my basket... Buy for £49.99 here.
6) Lace Up Ballerina- Classic flats with a stylish twist. Perfect. Buy for £29.99 here.
7) Nike Roshe Run Flyknit- I came across a huge nike store when travelling in Italy recently and fell in love with the Flyknit textured trainers. I tried them on and they literally make it feel like you're walking on air- saving up my pennies now! Buy for £94.99 here.

Maybelline Classic Volume Express WATERPROOF Mascara Swatches + Review (Before + After)

Long time no seee..... Long story short, I scheduled a lot of posts whilst travelling and NONE POSTED- sigh. Anyway, back again!

Today I'm going to be a rave review on my must-have mascara of the moment- and it's an absolute bargain. I picked up Maybelline Classic Volume Express Waterproof on whim in tesco because I loved the colour of the tube and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the actual product also.

As the name suggests the product is waterproof, but this product may as well be called bulletproof. It is a nightmare and a half to take off but so perfect at the same time.

It gives your make-up an almost hollywood look as it stays so perfect, and holds your eyelashes in the same place all day. It's also extremely black which makes it the perfect night-out pick me up.

Pros:
+Lengthening
+Volumising
+Holds curl
+Doesn't flake
+Very black
+Tube lasts a while
+Waterproof
+Cheap

Cons:
- Nightmare to take off

The product costs £4.99 which is amazing value for money, and I really recommend it if you're going on holiday or your make-up doesn't stay put on nights out. Buy here.

My Little "Road Trip" Box Review July 2015

It's official, My Little Box is the best beauty box out there at the moment. I was trying to put my finger on the exact thing that makes me love the box so much and I think that it's the perfect mix between own brand and well known brands being in the box. Not to mention the quality of the own brand items, this stuff is liquid gold.

The theme for this box is 'road trip' which is super handy because I am jetting off on holiday soon so all of these picks have been welcomed with open arms.

The first thing that caught my eye was the Travel organiser, aka the handiest thing ever, theres a pocket for your money, passport and EHIC/credit cards whilst also having a zip- i'm in love!

I always write postcards to my grandma when i'm on holiday (I'm aware I'm too cool for school) so seeing a pack of postcards with a pen attached to it was a nice touch.

Onto the beauty items... WOW. The first thing I picked up in the pouch was the Garnier Micellar Water which I've had my eye on forever. I'm a big bioderma fan but i've head this is just as good, but a little cheaper, so I am really excited to try it out.

I love Essie Polishes, the finish is glossy and you never need many layers to make it opaque. I recieved the shade "Roarrrrange" which is a vibrant orange.

The own brand choice for this month was a body sorbet, the smell reminds me of the Miracle Moist Aussie shampoo, which isn't something I normally go for. The sorbet is cooling and so perfect for dealing with the summer weather.

Last, but definitely not least, we have some flash tattoos. I am in love with them! I'm saving the three bowed arrow for when I go on holiday but I am printing all the rest of them anywhere I physically can.

This months box was spectacular and well worth the price. Sign up for £11 + P&P here.

Bio-Oil launches new body confidence campaign

Bio-Oil are working closely with the Body Gossip charity to take a selection of Body Philosophies into schools to inspire body confidence amongst young people. As part of the campaign Bio-Oil will be funding Body Gossip to run a Body Confidence Performance Project in 20 schools nationwide. From 1st June to 31st October you can nominate a school to receive a free Body Confidence Workshop here:
http://www.bodygossip.org/nominate-a-school

I headed straight over to the www.mybodyphilosophy.com site to see what everyone had been talking about, and I have to say, some of the stories got me more teary than watching "Marley and Me" *Sobs quietly*. They really inspired me and I'm so glad I stumbled upon it- bring me to why I wrote this post. Your body is beautiful. People may insult it, but most of the time it's because it's not the "normal" look. Remember when everyone used to mock big brows? Then, BAM Cara Delevigne came on the scene and people started drawing their eyebrows on like there was no tomorrow. And that's just it, body image has become a trend- this year it's killer curves, next year it could be no curves at all. Don't change your image because of what others like, be the person YOU want to be. That's exactly what Bio-Oil are trying to encourage people to do- respect yourself, your body and your skin. Every part of you is beautiful, you are not a trend!

If you're no longer in school I recommend taking a look at the My Body Philosophy site, it's truly inspiring.

Chanel 99 "Pirate" Lipstick Swatch + Review (Rouge Allure)

I am in love. Let me just start off by saying that.

I have owned Chanel products before, and liked them, but found that my skin didn't work too well with them. When browsing through the Cosme-De website I stumbled across the Chanel section and decided to take a peak through the lipsticks, and was really drawn to "Pirate". After endless hours of googling swatches and reading reviews I took the plunge and decided Pirate would be mine.

First of all, the packaging. The packaging, oh my. *Be still my beating heart*. The lipstick comes in a bullet, to eject the lipstick you have to press the gold chanel button on the top and it pops up.

Next up, the smell, I adore the smell of lipsticks, especially MAC and dior, but had never smelt a Chanel one. I was extremely pleased and was left sniffing it all evening, revealing the crazy make-up crazed teen side to me.

I didn't use a lipliner with the lipstick but the shape of the top created such a defined, and polished, look which took less than a minute- Chanel, can you please share your secrets with every lipstick manufacturer in the world? It would make my life so much easier.

The texture is really silky, leaving a slight glisten but not a shine. The colour stayed on for 4-5 hours without re-application but did disappear upon eating, naturally.

I'm obsessed with this lipstick, although it doesn't come cheap at £26, but I think it's completely worth it. HOWEVER, that being said, Cosme-de have very kindly given me a discount code for 10% for ALL of my readers- just use "TALISA10" at the checkout and with this you will also get a free sample of the O'slee "Honey Sugar Mask" AND there is free shipping with my code. Ain't they kind! Buy Pirate here for £23.40.

My Little "French Riviera" Box Review June 2015 (Unboxing)

I got a lovely surprise this morning when I received the latest "My Little Box", I'm slowly falling back in love with beauty boxes because of them- hallelujah for no repeated products/ 5ML perfume samples IN EVERY BOX! This months box did not disappoint.

The first item I reached for was the Kerastase Nectar Thermique Nourishing milk. I am a huge fan of Kerastase so was thrilled to receive this deluxe sample. I popped a little into my hair and it smoothed it out and made is smell delicious- big thumbs up from me. Buy the full sized product here for £15.38.

The next thing I picked up in the box was the Gommage Marin salt scrub. I love scrubs, adore them even, so when I saw this I was overjoyed. This reminds me a lot of Lush's Rub Rub Rub and sticks to your skin really well. This isn't for sale on their site yet, but when it is you can find it here: http://www.mylittlecorner.fr/beaute/my-little-beauty.html
The next item really surprised me, I'm not much of a sunglasses person (my head is HUGE so all glasses look tiny),  the rim is matte and the glasses are flattering on. I was really surprised to see Sarah Lavoine as the designer, I'm a huge fan of her home ware items, if you fancy a look at her work here's her website:  http://www.sarahlavoine.com/en/collections
The nail polish is a gorgeous vibrant teal colour that is flattering for all tones.

Once again "My Little Box" has completely donned the beauty box game and I was left thrilled. Sign up for £11 + P&P here.

Essence HAUL

I was very kindly sent a few Essence products to review from the lovely people at Wilko's, i'd never tried out Essence before so I was rather excited to test them all out.

The first product to catch my eye was the gorgeous pastel coloured "All About Romance" eyeshadow palette (£3.50). When I lightly swatch fair priced eyeshadows i'm a bit of a snob and expect them to be chalky and lacking in pigmentation- this product put me in my place! The silky easy to blend colours had amazing pigmentation and the colours are all easy to wear and can be used for lots of different occasions. This is definitely my new day-to-night palette!

Next up I tried the 06 "Barely There" long lasting lipstick (£2.30), this was far more sheer than expected but the colour is gorgeous and the lipstick is, as the name suggests, long lasting.
The packaging for the "Lash Princess False Effect Mascara" (£3.30) is super cute, the tube is shiny and black with green rubber detail for grip on the top of the wand, making it look adorable whilst providing grip.

The last products in my box of treats were two of their "I Heart Trends" Nail Polishes in 05 "Pure Soul" and 06 "Baby Doll" (both £1.80 each). They were quite watery and as you can see kind of leaked to the side of my nails, this works when you apply three very thin layers but it's not one for a quick polish and go. 05 is the top picture and 06 is the bottom, as you can see the colour is quite similar but 06 has a lovely golden shimmer in it.

Have you ever tried essence before? Are there any products you'd recommend I tried?

UK Drugstore Haul June 2015- Boots & Superdrug

Superdrug and Boots are having some epic reductions at the moment so I thought I'd show you what I picked up!
In Superdrug the Neutrogena 400ml deep moisture body lotion was reduced from £5 to £2.48, we use these all the time so this was a great deal for us so we picked up 6- 3 sensitive lotions and 3 normal lotions. Buy the sensitive lotions here and the normal lotions here. They're ultra moisturising and easy to use with the pump.
Naturally, I cashed in on some beauty deals. The collection 2000 concealer is a favourite so even though it wasn't on offer I picked it up for £4.19 here.

Boots are doing a 3 for 2 offer on maybelline at the moment so I picked up two of the Fit Me concealers for £5.99 here and their Lash sensational mascara for £7.99 here. Superdrug have a bit of a better offering for maybelline at the moment with 2 products for £10 but the two products I wanted were out of stock in store and online so I opted for boots.

I've been hearing a lot of things about make-up revolution but I hadn't got around to trying them so I picked up their Vivid baked highlighter in golden lights here for £3.

Reviews of all of these are soon to come so keep your eyes peeled!
I've owned my previous hairbrush since I had been 13 so the matte layer was gradually wearing off and it became quite sticky to hold so I picked up the Tresemme paddle brush for £5.99 (reduced from £6.99) here.
Next week I'm going on holiday so the SPF haul was a must! I picked up Simples kind to skin SPF30 moisturiser here for £6.99. I normally stick to suncream but the Nivea SPF20 tanning oil was half price, reduced from £14.99 to £7.48 here.
I also picked up a classic Nivea lotion in SPF 20 here for £6.28 reduced from £12.59.
Then we have the things that just needed topping up. I've heard great things about dove conditioners so opted for the dry oil dove conditioner for £2.97 reduced from £5.99 here.
Dad opted for his classic deodorant and shaving cartridges- the deodorant is £1.79 here and the cartridges are £14.99 for 3 here.
Our toothbrushes were reduced from £18.75 to £12.50 here.

Hope you enjoyed this haul!
